Lance Zimmerman

Director of Retirement Plan Services

Lance joined McInnes Group, Inc. in January 2017 and brings 29 years of experience in retirement plan management.  Relationships are the cornerstone of how he approaches his clients.

He focuses on proactively delivering solutions aimed at enhancing retirement plan design. Additional areas of focus are regulatory compliance, fiduciary governance and in-depth investment monitoring.  Lance will conduct plan committee meetings and assist in establishing and overseeing employee education programs.  Measuring the success of a company’s retirement plan is done at the participant level and he aims to provide the most suitable plan available to allow employees to help achieve a comfortable retirement.

Lance holds the FINRA Series 65, 7 and 63 registrations. He is also a long-term member of the Southwest Benefits Association, Western Pension Benefits Association and the National Association of Plan Advisors.

Lance received his Bachelor of Business Administration (with an emphasis on International Studies) from Westminster College in Fulton, MO, in May of 1993.  While in college he was a 4 year starter for the Westminster Varsity Soccer team.  Lance was also the Sophomore Class President and held various offices through his fraternity, Sigma Chi.  Finally, he spent half of his Junior year in Madrid, Spain in a Study Abroad Program through St. Louis University.

Lance lives in Prairie Village with his wife Tisha, a registered nurse, and his two children, Colin and Eva.  He enjoys traveling, running and attending live sporting events – especially the Kansas City Chiefs.  Lance has also spent time volunteering for various organizations like Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City, St. Ann Catholic School, Heartland and Brookside Youth Soccer and the Epilepsy Foundation of Missouri and Kansas.
